What Green Earth Cleaning is

Green Earth Cleaning is the process we use to dry clean at our plant in Mohali. It is designed to be gentle, non-toxic and odour-free, so garments are cleaned without harsh handling and without a lingering smell when you open the cover. Our website carries derma-tested and eco certification marks for the process.

It is part of the same dry cleaning journey every garment follows: inspection, individual stain treatment, cleaning in European-engineered machines with Seitz chemistry, finishing on Veit, Macpi and Naomoto form finishers, and packing on a hanger or folded.

Who it suits

• People with sensitive skin who notice irritation from garments worn close to the body, such as blouses, kurtas, shirts and scarves.
• Anyone who dislikes the smell of conventionally dry cleaned garments, or needs to wear a garment straight out of its cover.
• Delicate fabrics such as silk, chiffon, georgette, fine wool and pashmina.

What it is not

We want to be clear about what Green Earth Cleaning does and does not do.

• It is not a water wash. It is a dry cleaning process, used for garments whose care labels call for dry cleaning.
• It does not guarantee that every stain will disappear. Old, heat-set or dye-based stains may still not lift completely, as with any cleaning method.
• It is not a medical treatment. The derma-tested mark does not mean the process will treat or resolve any skin condition.
• We do not make chemical or scientific claims beyond the ones above. If you have a specific question about your garment, ask us and we will answer plainly.

Everyday garments, not just special ones

The same gentle process handles work blazers, winter coats and everyday silk as carefully as it handles a bridal lehenga. So it is just as suitable for your regular winter wear and office wear.

Looking after garments once they are home

Garments come back in protective covers that are meant for the journey home. For a few days of hanging, leave them in the cover. For longer storage, especially through the humid monsoon months, take the cover off and use a breathable cotton bag instead, so the fabric can breathe. Keep embellished pieces folded flat in cotton or muslin rather than hanging them, and keep perfume away from silk and fine wool.
