Why steam pressing works better than a dry iron

Steam relaxes the fibres so creases release under less heat and pressure. That matters on dark trousers and suiting, where a hot dry iron can leave a shine along the seams, and on silk, where too much heat can mark the fabric. Our finishing line uses Veit, Macpi and Naomoto form finishers, built for pressing shirts, trousers and tailored jackets so that collars, cuffs and creases hold their shape through the day.

Folded or on a hanger

You choose how garments come back.

• Hanger packs suit shirts, suits, blazers, sarees and anything you want to hang straight in the wardrobe or carry to an event without new creases.
• Folded packs suit T-shirts, kurtas, bed sheets and anything that lives on a shelf. They also travel more easily if you are packing for a trip.

If you do not specify, we pack formal shirts and suits on hangers and fold the rest.

Sarees and suits

A plain saree is steam pressed from ₹50 and a silk or zari saree from ₹75. Silk and zari need lower heat and careful handling of the border and pallu, so they are pressed separately from cotton. Salwar suits are pressed piece by piece: kurta, salwar or churidar and dupatta.

For a sherwani, steam pressing starts from ₹125. If the outfit has stains or has been worn through a long function, it will need wedding wear dry cleaning rather than a press alone.

Office wear on a weekly routine

For professionals working anywhere from the IT Park to Sector 17, a simple routine works well: shirts washed at home, pressed by us. A shirt costs from ₹10, trousers from ₹20 and a coat or blazer from ₹100. Pressing before interviews, events and travel

Some pressing jobs cannot wait for the weekly routine: a suit for a job interview, a kurta for a family function, or a set of shirts for a work trip out of Chandigarh. Book a collection as soon as you know the date and tell us what the garments are for, so they come back packed the right way. Suits and formal shirts travel well on hangers in their covers; folded packs fit more easily into a suitcase.

A few habits keep pressed garments crisp for longer. Hang them as soon as they arrive, leave space between hangers so they do not crush each other, and keep them in their covers until you wear them. Avoid sitting in a freshly pressed silk saree in a hot car for long before an event; heat and pressure together bring creases back quickly.

Freshly pressed bed sheets and curtains make a room look finished, especially before guests arrive. A double bed sheet is pressed from ₹45 and a cotton curtain panel from ₹35, depending on length.
