What we dry clean

Most garments with a dry clean symbol on the care label can come to us. Common examples from Chandigarh homes and offices include:

How your garment moves through our plant

Swan Clean runs on a hub-and-spoke model. Garments collected from homes and from our stores all travel to one central plant at D-44, Phase 5, Industrial Area, Mohali, where the same process applies to every order.

1. Inspection. Each garment is checked for stains, loose buttons, weak seams and anything left in the pockets before cleaning starts.
2. Stain treatment. Marks are treated individually with Diversey and Seitz professional chemistry, matched to the fabric and the type of stain.
3. Cleaning. Garments are dry cleaned in European-engineered machines using our Green Earth Cleaning process, which is gentle on fabrics and embellishments and leaves no chemical odour.
4. Finishing. Pressing and shaping are done on Veit, Macpi and Naomoto form finishers, so collars, lapels and pleats sit the way they were tailored.
5. Packing. Suits, sarees and formal wear go back on hangers; knitwear and household linen are folded.

You receive real-time updates as the order moves along, and payment is cashless.

Stain advice before we collect

What happens in the first few hours after a spill decides how easily a stain lifts later. A few habits help:

• Blot the spill with a clean cloth. Rubbing pushes it deeper and can roughen silk and wool.
• Avoid hot water on stains such as milk, egg or blood. Heat sets them into the fibre.
• Do not iron over a mark. Ironing a stained garment often makes the stain permanent.
• Keep perfume and deodorant off delicate fabrics; they can leave rings that show up weeks later.
• Tell us what the stain is and roughly how old it is. Turmeric from dal, oil from a festive meal and lipstick each need different treatment.

Old or heat-set stains may not lift completely, which is why we note them at inspection rather than after cleaning.

Dry clean or wash? Read the care label

A circle on the label means professional dry cleaning; a crossed-out circle means it should not be dry cleaned. A tub symbol means the garment can be washed in water. Many cotton shirts, jeans and everyday kurtas are perfectly happy in our laundry service, which costs less per piece. If you are unsure, send a photo of the label on WhatsApp and we will tell you which service suits it.

Prices and how to book

Dry cleaning is charged per piece. A shirt starts from ₹100, a blazer from ₹250 and a plain saree from ₹200. The full list is on our price list.
