What we handle for healthcare facilities

• Staff garments: scrubs, doctors’ and lab coats, nursing uniforms, front-desk and support staff uniforms.
• General linen: bed sheets, pillow covers, blankets, examination couch covers and consultation-room towels.
• Curtains: window curtains and cubicle or privacy curtains from wards, OPDs and waiting areas.
• Waiting areas: removable cushion and sofa covers.
• Dental clinics: cloth aprons, staff tunics and towels.

Soiled and infectious linen stays under your protocols

Swan Clean is a commercial laundry. We are not a biomedical waste handler, and we do not claim any infectious-linen certification or compliance. Please read this section before requesting a quotation.

• Soiled or infectious linen must be segregated and handled under your facility’s own infection-control and biomedical waste protocols.
• Only linen that your protocols release as suitable for general laundry should be handed to us.
• We do not collect biomedical waste or disposable material of any kind.

During the site visit we go through your requirements with the person responsible for infection control, and we agree in writing what we will accept, how it is bagged and what we will decline. If your needs fall outside what a commercial laundry should handle, we will say so.

Department-wise lots and named coats

Linen from different departments often has to come back to the same place. We tag lots by department or floor so the OPD’s linen returns to the OPD. Doctors’ coats can be tagged by name and returned on hangers, so nobody hunts through a pile of identical white coats on a Monday morning.

Each collection is counted by category, and the delivery count sheet uses the same categories. Discrepancies go to your dedicated contact and should be reported within 24 hours of delivery.

Finishing coats and scrubs

White coats are washed and pressed on Veit, Macpi and Naomoto form finishers and returned on hangers. Scrubs are washed in colour-separated loads and returned folded by size if you tell us how your store is organised. We use Diversey and Seitz professional chemistry throughout. Standard turnaround is 24–48 hours, and the cycle for your account is set out in the rate card.

Clinics of every size across the tricity

Large facilities usually need several collections a week. A single-doctor clinic or a dental practice may only need one. Either way, the process is the same: site visit, written rate card, fixed collection days, counts and a monthly GST invoice. We collect from clinic clusters near PGIMER in Sector 12 and GMCH in Sector 32, from nursing homes across the Mohali phases and from Panchkula sectors 1 to 21.

It helps to include the number of beds or consultation rooms, a rough weekly count of coats and scrubs, and the name of the person who owns infection control, so the site visit covers everything in one meeting. Rates are agreed per facility after the site visit and are not published.
