Laundry for PGs, Hostels and Colleges in the Tricity
Swan Clean runs resident laundry programmes and institutional linen services for PGs, hostels, colleges and universities in Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula, with collections on fixed days and billing split cleanly between the institution and residents.

Two kinds of laundry, one schedule
A hostel or PG usually has two separate laundry needs, and mixing them causes most of the problems owners describe:
- Institutional linen belongs to the building: bed sheets, pillow covers, blankets, quilts, curtains and mess linen. It is billed to the institution on a written rate card with a monthly GST invoice.
- Resident laundry belongs to the student or working professional: their own garments. It is handled bag by bag and paid for by the resident or under a plan agreed with the institution.
Both can be collected on the same visit, but they are counted, tagged and billed separately.
How a resident programme works
- Collection days are fixed for your building, so residents know when to hand over their bags.
- Each resident’s bag is tagged with their name and room number and processed as its own lot.
- Garments come back washed and folded, washed and ironed, or dry cleaned, as the resident chose. Standard turnaround is 24–48 hours.
- Residents get real-time order updates and pay cashless through the Swan Clean app or online at book.swanclean.in.
The warden or PG owner does not have to collect money or settle arguments about missing socks. Any missing or damaged garment is reported by the resident within 24 hours of delivery, under our garment care and liability policy.
Institutional linen and term-end cycles
Bed linen rotates on a fixed cycle through the term. Blankets, quilts and curtains are better handled in bulk when residents leave for vacations, so rooms are ready before the next intake. We plan these larger cycles with your administration in advance. Our plant in Mohali Industrial Area Phase 5 handles heavy household linen; see curtain, blanket and quilt cleaning.
Where we work
The tricity’s student population is spread across PGs around Panjab University in Sector 14 and the surrounding sectors, college hostels across Chandigarh, PGs and institutions in the Mohali phases, and the Knowledge City campus in Sector 81. PGP students at Indian School of Business already have a student arrangement with us, and on the institutional side, teams at Indian School of Business, IHCL and Ramada properties have trusted us with linen.
Student plans, discussed per institution
There is no single published student plan. What works for a 30-bed PG near Sector 15 is different from a university hostel block, so plans are discussed with each institution: collection days, services included, and how residents are billed. Individual students outside a programme can book any time through our regular laundry service.
