Dry cleaning or washing?

It depends on the fabric. Velvet, silk, heavy jacquard, lined and blackout curtains are dry cleaned, so linings do not shrink at a different rate from the face fabric. Cotton, polyester and sheer curtains can usually be washed. We check the fabric and any care label before choosing, and we tell you if a curtain needs special handling.

Take-down and re-hang at home

Ask for take-down and re-hang when you book and our team will remove the curtains, hooks and rings, and hang them back once cleaned. If you prefer, you can take them down yourself and we collect them as a normal order.

Before Diwali and after summer dust

Chandigarh’s dusty summers and road-facing windows leave curtains grey long before they look dirty. Most homes clean curtains once or twice a year, often before Diwali. Book early in October to avoid the festive rush. See also our guide to cleaning curtains at home or professionally.
